About Us
At Waveny Goldens, we’re passionate about raising happy, healthy, and well-socialized puppies for families across Canada.
Our story began in 2016, with one male and one female Golden Retriever. Since then, our kennel has grown steadily, both in experience and in the number of loving dogs we call family. We later expanded our program after meeting Abby, our beautiful Moyen Parti Poodle, adding new variety and personality to our lines.
Our dogs are raised on a country farm in Northeastern Alberta, where they enjoy plenty of space to roam, play, and explore. They’re used to meeting visitors and being around other animals, which helps them grow into confident, social companions.
Our Adoption Process
All of our adult dogs are DNA tested and clear for over 200 breed-specific diseases, ensuring that every Waveny Golden puppy is backed by a two-year genetic health guarantee.
Step 1: Application
Start by filling out our puppy application and share as much information as possible about the type of puppy you’re looking for.
If you were referred by a past Waveny Goldens family, please mention their name and their dog’s name — it helps us match you with a puppy that suits your lifestyle.
We typically respond within one business day. If you don’t see a reply, please check your junk or spam folder. Including your cell number helps us follow up quickly via text.
Step 2: Deposit
Once your application is approved, you can reserve your place in the picking order for a specific litter by sending a $500 non-refundable deposit to wavenygoldens@gmail.com.
If a female does not become pregnant, you may:
-
Transfer your deposit to her next litter (usually the following year),
-
Apply it to another upcoming litter, or
-
Receive a full refund.

Step 3: Puppy Selection
Puppy selection takes place when the litter is six weeks old, in the order deposits were received. Selection can be done in person or virtually via photos, videos, or FaceTime.

Step 4: Vet Care & Pickup
At eight weeks old, each puppy receives:
-
A full veterinary health check
-
Their first vaccination
-
Deworming and microchipping (done at six weeks)
Puppies go home right after their vet appointment, with a take-home kit that includes:
-
A small bag of their current food
-
Training treats
-
A blanket with mom’s scent
-
A toy, water bottle, and vet records
They’ll already be crate-trained and started on potty training to make the transition easier.
The final payment of $2,000 is due at pickup.
Step 5: Transportation (if needed)
We frequently ship puppies across Canada via WestJet for an additional $500.
In this case, final payment ($2,000 + $500 transport) is due the night before the flight.

Pricing
All puppies are priced at $2,500.
We believe in transparency and quality — our pricing reflects the care, health testing, and socialization each puppy receives before joining your family.
