About Us

We at Waveny Goldens are a somewhat newer Kennel with us having our first litter of Golden Retrievers in the fall of 2016. We began with only one male and one female but have grown since then and continue to improve our family of dogs. We began with just Golden Retrievers but soon decide to expand when we meet our Moyen Parti Poodle Abby.

Our dogs are raised on a country farm in North-Eastern Alberta. They all love to explore the open fields and are used to different kinds of animals. The dogs all love to meet visitors and be around people.

Our Adoption Process

All of my adult dogs have been DNA tested for issues common to their breed and are clear on all.

The adoption process is relatively simple, you have already told me some things about yourself and your previous dog experience.  They will be ready for their new homes when they are 8 weeks old (so late November).  They will be given a thorough health check by the vet, vaccinated, dewormed twice, and microchipped and will be on solid, dry kibble.  They will be used to being in a crate and started on potty training.  A  small bag of their puppy food, a bag of training treats, a blanket with the mother’s scent, a dog water bottle, a toy and their vet records will come with them.

A deposit of $500 would reserve your place in the picking order, which takes place when the puppies are 6 weeks old and can be done in person or by video.  The final amount is due when the puppy is picked up.  The deposit is non-refundable unless the female isn’t actually pregnant in which case there are 3 options:

  1. Full refund given

  2. Transferred to the next litter of the same mother

  3. Transferred to another litter but in the picking spot that is available at that time.

Ultrasounds have been completed the litters have been confirmed for end of September beginning of October.
